The Gates of Righteousness
" Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them, and I will praise the LORD. 20 This is the gate of the LORD, through which the righteous shall enter. 21 I will praise You, for You have answered me, and have become my salvation ." Psalm 118:19-21 Only those with clean hands and a pure heart will see God ( Ps. 24:4 ). The Law of God proves beyond any shadow of doubt that there is none good, no not one. Solomon stated rhetorically in Proverbs 20:9 , " Who can say, "I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin ?" If man's only hope for righteousness was through his own effort, he would have no hope whatsoever. But by the grace of God, the righteousness of Christ has been imputed through faith to all those who believe.
